Humans are drawn to exceptionalism. We recognise the discipline behind extraordinary achievement, the judgement formed under pressure and the conviction to pursue something before the outcome is certain. The people who earn that recognition carry influence far beyond their profession. They can command attention, establish trust and bring others into a shared ambition.

Technical founders know the other side of that equation. Building something important demands years of work before the world understands its value. A breakthrough still needs its first customer. An exceptional team still needs someone to take the meeting. At the earliest stages, access to the right person can change what becomes possible.

The Players Fund exists to make that access useful.

We invest at pre-seed and seed alongside leading venture firms, with an angel-sized cheque and a platform built for early growth. Our responsibility is to understand what a founder needs next, identify where we can make a difference and follow through. We aim to outperform our cheque size, earn our place on the cap table and build the trust to support founders through later stages.

Our fund platform brings together experienced investors and operators, a network of 850 athletes, our artist community and relationships with leading organisations. Athletes and artists have built careers on judgement, resilience and the ability to move people. Their influence reaches customers, executives, talent and investors across industries. Applied with care, that influence can help a company win consideration, recruit exceptional people and establish credibility in a new market.

Through TPF Labs, we also help leading sports organisations build their venture capabilities. These organisations sit within extensive networks of commercial partners, established businesses and technology companies. Our work creates opportunities to connect founders with decision-makers, technical expertise and potential customers well beyond sport.
